“Breastmilk is the best for babies.” That’s what my wife, Danna, truly believes in. No one had to encourage her to breastfeed. That’s is why I am so proud of her.
I did not just see my wife feeding our child the most nutritious milk, I also saw a well-bonded mother and daughter. And it shows until now that our baby has grown into a healthy toddler.
As my wife takes care of our child, I realized how tiring it was for her. I also learned that you can burn so much calories from breastfeeding. I knew I had to do something. I just gotta cook for her, do the chores, and take care of our little princess so she could get the rest she deserves.
My wife is a very strong person. But even a strong personality has her own weaknesses. When she gets stressed, she feels tired and sometimes depressed. I always constantly remind her, “Mommy, ang ganda ganda mo. Ang galing galing mo,” sealed with a kiss.
I guess these are the things that I do to show her how much I appreciate her. Now that she is pregnant with our second child, I have to do more of these little things. I have to be more than the dream husband she wishes I was.
