Before a baby learns to reach and grab with their hands or crawl and sit up, their eyes are providing important information and stimulation for their development. A baby's brain undergoes an amazing period of development from birth to three - producing more than a million neural connections each second. High-contrast imagery offers the best opportunity for newborns to focus on visual stimuli and promotes visual exploration and engagement.
More than just entertainment, visual focus on a stimulus such as art cards can foster a sense of calm and coherence in visually busy spaces. A card placed over a diapering area can be used to redirect the attention of wiggly infants, making diaper time a little easier on parents and caregivers. Furthermore, intriguing imagery invites commentary and conversation, encouraging adults to engage more with the baby.
Babies are fascinated with black-and-white designs. Right from the start, these art cards begin developing a baby’s visual perception. The six adorable animals in this set include a Sloth, Jaguar, Monkey, Chameleon, Toucan, and Frog. Printed on a sturdy board, these cards will stand up to the baby’s explorations. Each 5″x7″ card is beautifully finished with matte lamination and child-friendly rounded corners.
What babies see?

- 6-9 months - Edges and patterns begin to take shape as a complete image emerges - revealing an exciting new pal.
- 9-12 months - Depth perception is developing and dexterity begins to improve. Good luck getting these out of baby's hands now!

Attached the motion-activated soft musical plane and other toys to the arches. You can extend the length of the hanging toys by adding an extra Yookidoo® fun link so that the toys will be within reach. Place other toys on the mat around your baby in order to encourage exploration.
Stage 2- Place your baby on her tummy. Place toys around her or connect them to the tummy time pillow with the easy attachment loops designed for attaching toys. Place a mirror on the mat within your baby’s reach and encouraging her to explore.
Stage 3- Sit your baby and secure with the safety harness and buckle up. Slip the pillow into the special pocket under her feet to ensure enhanced comfort. Attach toys to the arch ensuring they are within her reach from an upright sitting position. Place the large mirror together with other toys on the mat encouraging her to explore and discover.
